Anjuman Group of School

The Anjuman has established itself as an institution in imparting education in Urdu Medium and is well commended for this. There are plans to open an English Medium Schools by Anjuman at 16. Hati Bagan Road, Kolkata - 700 014 The Anjuman has established and is maintaining the following schools which are duly recognised by the West Bengal Government Education Department:

  5. (v) Anjuman Mufidul Islam Girl's Sishu Siksha Kendra at 20, Noor Ali Lane, Kolkata - 70014

The Anjuman has received help and co-operation from time to time from those concerned towards the progress and development of these schools which are landmarks for the Urdu Medium Education imparted to girls of Kolkata.

Anjuman Mufidul Islam Primary School was transformed to Anjuman Mufidul Islam Shishu Sikksha Kendra by the Directorate of Madrasah Education. Govt. of West Bengal vide its Memo No. 320 dated 30-03-2011 With the personal initiative of Past Presidents and our President Mr. Amiruddin (Bobby) six (6) approved teachers were recruited in Anjuman Girl's High School and twelve (12) approved teachers were recruited in Anjuman Girl's Primary School.

Some of these Schools face shortage of funds owing to restriction in collection of school fees and decreasing number of students and hence the Anjuman extends its hand of support by allocating sufficient funds to these schools to tide over the financial crunch from time to time.

The School Building situated at 31, Mufidul Islam Lane, Kolkata - 700 014 was in a dilapidated condition and hence it needed to be demolished and a new structure erected. With this in mind the Anjuman prepared a plan and got it sanctioned from the KOLKATA MUNICIPAL CORPORATION. President Mr. Amiruddin announced that the cost of the new building would be borne by him and will be dedicated in the memory of his father Late Abdul Wahab. The demolishing of the building commenced from 14" September 2018.

Subsequently, with the co-operation of the Head Master Mr. Md. Ziauddin Nadeem, Anjuman was able to shift Anjuman Girl's Higher Secondary School to Islamia High School with convenient timings. The School was shifted to Islamia High School on 1" September 2018.

On 1st January 2019 the Foundation Laying Ceremony of Premises No. 31 Mufidul Islam Lane, Kolkata-700 014 of Anjuman Mufidul Islam, Calcutta was held.

The Foundation stone was laid by Moulana Altafur Rahman and Honourable MP Mr. Sudip Bandopadhyay.

At the Foundation Laying Ceremony, Honourable MP Mr. Sudip Bandopadhyay committed that he would contribute Rs.50,00,000/-(Rupees fifty lacs) from his MP LAD Fund towards the construction of the building.

The Managing Committee of the Anjuman coordinates with the Man Committee of schools to improve the quality of education being imparted which be seen in the chart below:

Besides running six regular schools for girls, the process is on for an English Medium School at 16, Hati Bagan Road, Kolkata - 700 014 and a Montessori School and Madrasah at 31/3, Topsia Road South. Honourable MP Sri Sudip Bandopadhyay and Honourable MP Mr. Nadeem-ul-Haque have consented to donate towards these school from thier MP LAD Funds. The Anjuman is grateful to the Govt. Of West Bengal for extending a helping hand in promoting education with schemes like Mid Day Meals, School Uniform, Books and different scholarships like Kanyashree. Pre metric and post metric scholarships through the Minority Department.


Maktabs :

Several Maktabs are run by the Anjuman in different parts of Kolkata mainly in slum area for imparting education to the poor and needy children. Books and stationeries are provided to children free of cost at the Maktabs.

Disturbingly the number of students in the Maktabs is falling owing to various reasons but remedial steps are being taken to increase the number of students to a notable extent.
